The Coronation of Sultan Ismail Johor Medal

Pingat Kemahkotaan Sultan Ismail

Sultan Ismail’s coronation on 10th February 1960 was marked with this commemorative medal. It is divided into three classes – gold, silver and bronze.

Measuring 32mm in diameter, the obverse bears the crowned head of Sultan Ismail. On the reverse is Sultan Ismail’s signature sitting in the centre with the crown above and the date “10.2.1960” below. Encircling the medal is the Arabic inscription “Kemahkotaan Sultan Ismail Johor” (Coronation of Sultan Ismail Johor).
